Since the volcano canceled our flight to Venice we have had to re-group. I just wanted to mention that our apartment rental people in Venice (VeniceRentals.com) were very helpful in getting our deposit transferred to another time. I had found them in the Rick Steves Italy book. And Europeforvisitors.com website Durant Imboden has been really helpful. They are in Venice right now so have up to date stuff! That is a good web site for Venice information.

Glad to know that you were able to work out re-grouping. I know I would have hated to miss a trip that I had been planning for sometime. Hopefully it will all get straight and you will go and have a great time.
