Vivaticket - has anybody been successful in pursuing a complaint?

I have been trying to get Vivaticket to respond to a complaint concerning a voucher for an event that was cancelled in June 2020. They don't respond to email to the address published on their website and the only telephone number is for the ticket office which says that they only deal with requests sent in writing.

Has anybody been successful in pursuing any kind of complaint with Vivaticket? Any tips?

yes.... and no
mine was a complaint whereas yours is more serious trying to get a refund.
I did get a reply to a complaint I (politely but clearly) made. They responded by email. I believe I filled in a form on their site.
My issue is that date and place of birth is required information to buy tickets. Those two things with one other normally "socially-available" (though I AM private) information and few $$ someone can obtain my birth certificate, and then with that apply for more ID and very quickly they are me and taking out a mortgage on my house and I am wearing a barrel and suspenders.

I did not expect a reply but it did arrive (filtered into spam so check your junk folder) after about three weeks. Said it is required by Italian law, sorry, etc. Maybe, but why does b-ticket (for Uffizi, etc. in Florence) not need that level of detail. I realize Vivaticket is huge and sell tickets for all sorts of venues so conditions can be different over b-ticket. But having one on-line vendor for the Scrovegni Chapel in Padova is lousy IMHO

Suggestions for you?

Sorry, nothing good. Have you tried a dispute with your credit card. I realize a year has passed but I know at one time they were forgiving the long delays. Stress that the vendor has been non-responsive to you (hence the delay).

It took me 6 months and many emails with booking dot com to get a refund for April 2020 accommodation in Florence. At first they replied don't yet qualify, then will refund, will request refund, repeat, repeat... Finally had a chat session with a rep who actually looked at history and saw the other reps were submitting a request (and the vendor was non responsive). This rep put me on hold, dealt with triggering an actual refund. So persist; firm, polite and stick to brief facts.

You too just might hit a good one. Good luck

Thanks Marc! I haven't tried a credit card dispute yet, but that's my next step if Vivaticket doesn't respond to my last reminder which included a threat to contact an Italian lawyer. The tickets were for good seats at the opera in Venice so not a small amount of money. (Actually I would be happy with a voucher - the dispute is that they claim I was late requesting one, but I wasn't late according to their written rules.)

ohh I wish you hadn't done that - any good will they might have had will evaporate.

Have you checked your email spam filter in case an answer(s) might have wound up in there? It happens sometimes with overseas emails.

good luck

Hi Nigel, I don't actually think there's any good will. They ignored my original request, and ignored my reminders, and now they are certainly going to ignore what I've said is my final reminder unless I give them some reason not to ignore it, like a suggestion that I'm not going to go away quietly and forget about it like (probably) most of the people who submit complaints. Reviews on www.trustpilot.com give them 1 star out of 5 for this kind of behaviour.

Yes, I've checked my spam filter. They never replied to any of my mail except to the original complaint where they sent me a reference number that didn't land in my spam folder.
