Vivaldi Concert, Venice March 2025

I'd like to buy tickets for a Vivaldi Concert, in Venice, mid March 2025. Is there an official website to purchase tickets? I can't seem to sort out all the "ticket outlets". I'm not interested in a reseller or tour operator.

Thanks!

Hey Diana, if I were telling someone about a concert in the US, I'd have to tell them the city, the range of performance dates, and the name of the orchestra, at least. Otherwise we don't have any idea of how to help you effectively. I'm not trying to be fussy-I go to a lot of classical concerts.

In my experience, these concerts are either at the Chiesa Pieta, or another church closer to the Accademia Bridge (forget the name). These concerts generally don't sell out, so just go and buy tickets. Although they are primarily for tourists, the musicians are excellent and you will enjoy.

I've attended concerts by Interpreti Veneziani which performs in the San Vidal Church near the Accademia Bridge. The musicians are excellent. Tickets are available now, although you can usually get tickets on the day of the concert as well. I've never had a problem getting tickets. Here's the link: https://www.interpretiveneziani.com/en/

We went to an Opera -type concert a few years back because outdoor activities were limited due to nonstop rain. I expected a touristy event, but was surprised by how much fun it was- the singers were excellent, engaged the audience, costumes were beautiful. We bought tickets the same day, with cash, no markup, from our hotel. Enjoy!

Vote #2 for Jeff's recommendation of Interpreti Veneziani. It was several years ago when I went but the hotel was even selling tickets. At that time I had a long conversation with the hotel desk person who was of the opinion that the concerts where the musicians were dressed in costume (not opera concerts) were more touristic and the ones where they were in normal clothing had better musicians.
