I'm considering stopping for lunch in Viterbo on my drive north in May. Is Viterbo worth a 2-3 hour stop? If so, any tips on a nice restaurant and a good place to park? Thanks.
I've stopped by there before for a few hours and I thought it was worth it. It's a small town but has a few churches and palazzi to see. I haven't eaten there before, but I heard a good place to stop for lunch is a restaurant called Schenardi (on Corso Italia, 11; closed Wed.). But I heard there are a lot of good eateries in this town, so hopefully I will get to try them out sometime.
