Traveling to Italy and I’ve packed my required supplements in tiny plastic pouches. There are a few supplements I need. My husband is worried I won’t pass customs with these items. Has anyone had experience with this issue? These include things like melatonin and turmeric, nothing illegal of course!
We’ve carried them, usually combined together in a couple of original bottles in which one of the supplements came. They’ve never been looked at by authorities, let alone questioned.
Not a problem, bags are very rarely "searched", and if so, they are readily recognizable as vitamins
Just be aware that most Melatonin is only available by prescription in Italy. I believe they allow up to 1 mg without prescription.
Melatonin is classified as a medicine in the EU and not a supplement.
But best to double check.
