Has anyone ever done the evening visit (7-11pm)? Is it less crowded?

As far as I know they only do extended night hours on Friday nights. I have visited them during the evening and they were less crowded than during the day. Not all the rooms are open but it was still a nice visit. If you've never been to the Vatican museums you might look into booking a tour. Donna
