We will be taking a cruise out of Civitavecchia. We arrive in the afternoon on Saturday 7 Dec and have a full day on Sunday 8 Dec. We definitely want to see all of the Vatican but the Museum is closed on Sundays. Do we do the Museum on Saturday late afternoon or evening and then come back early Sunday morning to tour St Peters? We are trying to get as much as possible in the day and a half that we will be in Rome. I know that will be impossible.
Any suggestions?
