Visiting St. Peter's Basilica on day of Liturgical Celebration

Hi!

My family and I are traveling to Rome next week. We were planning on going to St. Peter's Basilica to climb the dome early Sunday morning, around 7-8 AM to hopefully miss some of the crowds. However, when I checked the calendar for the Vatican, it shows that there is a "Mass for the Solemnity of Pentecost" at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's. Does anyone know whether they might allow regular tourists inside of St. Peter's before the mass?

Thank you all so much for your help!

Thank you for replying. Ciaran, that's exactly the page I had looked at. Thanks for the information and the advice! We're just going to go later in the day as you suggested. If anyone else has a similar question, I was able to confirm this with someone in Rome. Any time the pope is holding mass, the Basilica is closed until that afternoon.
