Visiting order on Naples-Sorrento-Amalfi

Party of two (no wheeled luggage only two backpacks) are traveling first week of March by train from Rome to the South arriving early afternoon. We have 4 nights. We have to stay fifth night in Rome since we are flying out FCO next morning 11am. Trying to pan out the visiting order. Should I remove one or two places or use other mode of transportation between Naples and Amalfi Coast? Appreciate any input from you.

Option 1 (all four nights in Sorrento as the base)
-Amalfi-> Ravello->Positano ->Capri -> Naples -> Pompeii (maybe also Herculaneum), Train back to Rome by Circumvesuviana transfer to fast train at Naples to Rome

Option 2 (all four nights in Sorrento as the base)
- Naples->Pompeii (maybe also Herculaneum) ->Amalfi->Ravello->Positano->Capri - Train back to Rome by Circumvesuviana transfer to fast train at Naples to Rome

Option 3 - First two nights at Amalfi/Positano, visit Capri then stay another two nights at Sorrento, after supper early check out on fifth day, visit Pompeii (maybe also Herculaneum)- bus back to Naples then train back to Rome

4 nights in Sorrento base=3 full days
One day devote to Amalfi Coast (Amalfi, Ravello, Positano)
One day devote to the island of Capri
One day devote to Pompeii and/or Naples
You can also devote one full day to Naples and do Pompeii on the way to or out of Sorrento. Pompeii is half way between Naples and Sorrento along the Circumvesuviana train railway. Therefore you can stop at the archeological site on the way to/from Sorrento on the day of arrival or departure
You can leave your luggage at the Circumvesuviana station or at the archeological site (both have luggage storage). Just plan to devote at least 3+ hours to visit Pompeii.

Positano or Amalfi are very quaint and romantic settings and most couples would love to stay there overnight. Splitting your stay between Sorrento and Positano is fine but changing hotels is time consuming (check in, unpack, repack, check out, check in again, unpack) so take that into consideration if you decide to split your stay into two fairly close locations. You could also use Positano as a base for what you intend to do, instead of Sorrento (there are boats and boat excursions to Capri from Positano), however going to Pompeii or Naples from Sorrento is easier since you can use the Circumvesuviana. If your base is Positano, to go to Pompeii or Naples, first you need a bus to Meta di Sorrento, then catch the Circumvesuviana from there.
Your choice.
