I wanted to book reservations at the Uffizi and Accademia ahead of time for our trip next month and ran across the firenze card, has anyone had any experience with purchasing and using the card, I'm concerned about long lines and waiting times, any info on this?

We just returned two weeks ago. I didn't want to run risks by not booking the reservations myself (for both the Uffizi and the Accademia), so I called the number in Rick's book. Short calls with folks who spoke English; you receive confirmation numbers that you take to the "pay and pick up tickets" windows at the museums. I highly recommend the process.

Just got back from our trip and have to say you will want to make reservations ahead of time. Actually in Florence I had the B&B do it and it saved gobs of time. The card seemed expensive to me and not worth it since I'm unlikely to go back anytime in the next year. Hope you have fun!

We're going in May and I got our passes and entrance times on line. Received them in under 7 days. Have my tickets in my sweaty little hands:)
