I want to visit Montalcino for the celebration of the thrush. How can I get to Montalcino from Florence (as a day trip). The celebration is on October 25th, the last Sunday of October. I'm looking for something that does not require renting a car or taxi.

You need to take the bus or train to Siena then the bus to Montalcino.
