Hi there,
I'm looking for advice/confirmation that my plans for visiting the Colosseum area sights will work given the ticket system and hours of operation. I had previously purchased admission to the Colosseum online and today I called Coopculture and purchased tickets for the Colosseum underground and third ring tour for the additional 9 euros each. I booked the last English tour of the day on the Tuesday in October we'll be in Rome, at 4:20pm. We'll only be in Rome for a few days, so I'd like to see the Forum and Palatine Hill during the same visit. Based on the hours posted on the website, it looks like we'll need to visit the Forum/Palatine Hill first in order to see the sights before they close at 6:30pm (correct?). Given that I now have two sets of tickets (one for general admission/one for underground & third ring tour), will it work to do the following:
- go to the Forum first (say 2pm) & present the general admission ticket only
- see the Forum and Palatine Hill
- then head over to the Colosseum in time for the 4:20pm tour and present the general admission ticket again plus the voucher for the underground/third ring tour?
Or is there another way to structure this visit? Thanks in advance!
