We are US citizens but my son was thinking of taking a trip to the Dominican Republic and returning 4 days before our trip to Italy. Never occurred to me to check on that, I just assumed we would need to follow US visitors requirements for Italy. I am now seeing on some websites that if you visited a List E country during the 14 days before entering Italy, you would have additional requirements, including quarantining for 10 days. Can anyone confirm? He would only be in DR for 5 days.

Thank you ChristineH. This website link looks official and it looks like he would have to quarantine if he goes to DR. Bummer, but thank you for the response.
