We'll be spending a week in Rome and a few days in Florence. We could add a few days to visit Cinque Terre but the RS guidebook makes it sound like the weather could be bad, businesses closed, etc. Is it worth the trip or should I can the idea until next time?
Hello cdnodland, and welcome to the forum!
Temps are likely running from the low to mid 50s for highs and down into the high 30s or low 40s at night with rain about 11 days of the month on average. I think March is considered very early season and you will encounter places closed, and the ferry didn't start service this year until March 23rd so it would be train access only.
Only you can dictate what interests you most but with only a couple of days in Florence I think your time is better spent in Florence or a less coastal and weather dependent day trip destination.
Have a great trip,

Thanks, Tod. Think we'll hold off on that part of the trip.
Hi there, Agreed, either add more days in Florence, or perhaps a day trip to Siena. In February you may want to spend more time indoors, weather dependent and you simply won't run out of places to visit in Florence!
