My wife and I are considering a visit to Salina island in Sicily as part of our Sicily itinerary. Would appreciate any input in making our decision and tips/recommendations on places to stay, restaurants, scooter rental, things to do and any other helpful information?

We are going to Salina as part of a genealogy tour. We start the tour on April 25 in Palermo. The only thing we have scheduled, besides checking records at town hall, is a food/wine tour. We are staying at the Santa Maria Antica Foresteria hotel. When are you going? If it is at all a few months after we are there I can report back to you. Best info I can offer.
