Have any of you every tried the Visa Gift Cards on your trips to Italy. I was told by the bank that you get a pin number (4 digit) to use at ATM machines. Just wondering if any of you have tried this and how successful or unsuccessful they were. Thanks in advance for you responses.

I've sent three kids to various places using the VisaBuxx card. Worked great, except once when I didn't realize you needed to notify the card company that it was going to be used in Europe and they put a temporary hold on the card until I cleared it.
ATMs are definitely the way to go in Europe. Make sure to raise your withdrawal limit or you will pay too many extra fees.

VISA Buxx cards and the Visa Gift Cards are NOT the same. Buss is kid's credit card with a cap on it.
