The Vatican also has a really good virtual tour of the Scavi, the underground tour under St. Peter's.

And the best part of the virtual tour is the absence of the persistent chattering voices. It is silent. I haven't been to the Sistine for many years but the amplified announcements reminding us, in every language known to man, that it was a holy place and to keep silent made not the slightest difference to most of the tourists who not only talked loudly but called out to one another.
