I posted earlier about recommendations and we have decided to change our itinerary. We will be headed to Florence via Geneva in July and are looking for a vineyard stay or accommodations outside of Florence. We would like to be able to get to Florence easily and while Chianti is very attractive to stay, I cannot imagine my family of 4 making the total 2 hour commute from Chianti 1-2 days.
I have looked into a vineyard called Fattoria Lavochia-Has anyone stayed there? The reviews seem good, but cleanliness seems to be a concern. The other we place we would love to stay, but is booked is Medici Villa de Lilliano.
Any recommendations for places outside of Florence? We would love a place with a pool as well. It will be hot, so it would be nice for this place to be a respite from Florence. We are planning Florence for 3 nights.
