Village Tour transportation question

Iim doing the village tour end of Sept. I arrive in Venice in the morning. Need to get to hotel in Padua later that day. I will be tired and disoriented, and want to keep it simple.
Has anyone hired a driver/guide to take you around Venice then to Padua?

There’s not really a simple way to see Venice from the airport. You cannot go around Venice by car. You could hire a very expensive water taxi. Or you could take the Aliliguna water bus orange line from the airport through the grand canal to San Marco Giardinetti. Then transfer to the blue line. You could get off at Tronchetto and take a pre-arranged private transfer to your hotel. I have no info on that. The other option is to get off the Aliliguna at the train station (Ferrovia) then take a train about 30 minutes to Padua. Then a taxi to your hotel.

You could take a bus to the Piazzale Roma, stash your luggage, get a one-day vaporetto pass and ride the vaporetto up and down the Grand Canal, getting off and on at will. Then, you could take the bus from Piazzale Roma or the train (train station is across the Canal) to Padova.

Is your arrival day the same day the tour starts?

Thanks for the comments.
My tour starts the day after I arrive.

If I just got off the plane and went straight to Padua, what is the easiest method?

Take the bus from the airport to Padua bus station, next to the train station. You could take the tram to your hotel, or get a cab at the train station.
Luggage goes in the bus luggage hold under the bus. Bus cost is 9.40 EUR if you buy a ticket in the airport, 10 EUR from the driver.
Bus goes every 30 minutes M-F, less frequent Saturday, Sunday, Holidays.

A driver to take you around Venice? You do know why the city is famous?

Venice to Padua is 30 minutes by train and there are frequent departures. A ticket for the regional train costs €4.70.

If you want to go straight to Padua from the airport the easiest is to take the direct bus.
