We are staying in the Villafrana Lunigiana area of Italy for the 1st time, which is west of the Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano. We’ve been in other areas previous trips. I know the CT is about 35 min west of where we are and Florence about 45 min east, but does anyone have suggestion for what the national park offers or smaller villages around there. We want to explore but not intrude on villages who do not want strangers walking around.

I assume it's Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano you're asking about and not Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre?
