Villa Verdi?

My husband would love to visit Villa Verdi on our trip to Italy next summer. Has anyone been? We will be in CT and also Venice. Is it worth the trip from either of those locations. Best way to get there? We could rent a car if trains are not a possibility.

I have not been there but it looks like it is a bit off the A1 north of Parma, I would think that would be easier to get to from Venice than from the CT. Or maybe even go there on the way between the two?
