Villa's in Chianti/Tuscany?

Greetings from Firenze,
I, along with 10 or so friends, are looking to spend our Thanksgiving in a villa outside of Firenze where we live. We would like to find a cool places that's got a great view and a large kitchen so we can cook two dinners, one Italian night, and one traditional 'Thanksgiving' dinner. I have looked into a bunch of places but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to go? Since we live in Firenze, we want to go to the less tourist and less populated areas to escape for a weekend.

Take a look at Il Palagio (www.infochianti.com) We have stayed there twice before and love it. The grounds are lovingly maintained - the views are breathtaking and the villa is so comfortable. We cooked like mad in the big kitchen - the owner (Monia) is quite helpful and she speaks excellent English.

It is located just outside the village of Panzano. Panzano is located exactly between Florence and Siena on the the Chianti Road (S222). It is the home of Dario - Tuscany's most famous butcher (he is featured in the Bill Buford book Heat). Panzano is a quiet village with great restaurants and wineries. Have fun.

Jon,
This could be perfect - I want to call Dario a week before we leave and ask if we can get a load of goodies to cook up. Panzano is where we are looking to go.

Anthony Bourdain visited him on his show, he's a character for sure.

I stayed at La Fornella. The place is great and owned by an American Wife and an Italian Husband. It is quite lovely and easy access via train from Firenze. Their website www.lafornella.com....and it looks exactly like the photos.
Ciao,
