There are a number of online resources to find a rental villa. Below are a few agritourismi that are worth looking into. They are a little different than a villa but still something to consider in the Tuscany region
Il Canto del Sole www.ilcantodelsole.com, [email protected]
Frances’ Lodge Relais www.franceslodge.it
Here are a few resources that other travelers have referred to us:

Another option is to stay on a farm--agriturismo. Virtually every farm in this part of Tuscany has apartments and rooms for rent as a secondary source of income. They're easily found on AirBnB.com and Booking.com. You can also double check many of the properties' customer ratings on Trip Advisor and see what's said about them.
My favorite towns are San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra. I found Siena to be congested and hard to park in--preferably visited by bus. Another favorite hilltown is Orvieto which is north of Rome--90 minutes south of Siena.
A wonderful agriturismo we have stayed at several times is Casa Ercole located outside Greve In Chianti and Panzano, the heart of Chianti. It is about equidistant between Siena and Florence. You do need a car but driving in this area is easy and scenic beyond words. There is great bus service to Florence from both Panzano and Greve. Sure, parking can be a challenge in Siena but some diligence and patience will get you a spot within walking distance of the center. But don't try it during Palio. Siena, a favorite city of ours, is beautiful and charming IMO.
