Has anyone every stayed at the Villa Diodoro in Taormina. We've been checking and have found mixed reviews. Would like to stay in a hotel close to the center of town and have seaview balcony rooms, any suggestions? Thank you

We just returned from Taormina two days ago [INVALID] we rented (two couples) a beautiful villa on the sea from this website: info@holidaysinsicily.co.uk Cannot recommend enough [INVALID] the man's name is Claudio Puglisi [INVALID] and he also rents apartments, B&B's in town. The thing with Taormina is that there are very few hotels with seaviews that are not horrendously expensive. That is why we stayed down seaside because the cost of the villa wasn't bad [INVALID] just took the cable car up to the main town. Taormina is beautiful, and Claudio also has a great driver/tour guide who is quite reasonable for excursions to Mt. Etna, etc. His name is Angelo Grecco. Claudio can put you in touch with him. Tell him I sent you! He's a darling young man. Keep in mind that Taormina and the seaside town (Mazzaro) are all very verticle, which was difficult for me, I have a bad back, but managed [INVALID] and wouldn't have missed this holiday for the world!
