Villa d’Este, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, or Villa SerbellonI?

Looking for recommendations! Planning a trip to Lake Como and trying to decide between Villa d’Este, Grand Hotel Tremezzo, or Villa Serbelloni. For those who have stayed at any of these, which one did you prefer and why? Looking for the best balance of views, service, and overall experience. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

With prices starting at $1000 per night, it will be interesting to see who on this forum has firsthand knowledge of these places.

Okay, I'll bite. This was a pre-children, dual income, no-kids, working 12 hour days and don't have time to plan a trip that was taken 30 years ago. It was a Backroads all inclusive Italian Lakes hiking trip. We stayed two nights each at the Villa d'Este in Cernobbio and Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio. Both are full service, wonderful hotels with great views. Both have lovely grounds and well appointed rooms. There's more to do in Bellagio than Cernobbio. The Villa d'Este pool is right on the lake while the Serbolloni pool is more inland but overlooks the lake. The Villa d'Este has a lovely patio bar and patio breakfast room overlooking the lake, the Serbolloni's restaurant overlooks the lake and has a bar with a good view of the lake.

Oops, typo. Trip was 20 years ago and there was one easily disposed of kid.

The location of Villa d"Este is not as good as the others for first time visitors to Lake Como.
Personally I find Bellagio to be so clotted with tourists even in shoulder season that I like to stay elsewhere.
But if you want to stay there and do not want to spend the money for the ones mentioned, The Belvedere in Bellagio is lovely.

While those hotels are grand and glorious, there are others just as luxurious that compete with the three you mentioned:

These include:

The Mandarin Oriental
The Villa Musa
The Villa Lario

There are at least two others in the grand-luxe rank but they are in or near Como city.

Is it Villa Lario Resort Mandello? Or Villa Lario Lake Como?
Thank you everyone for reply.

:-)

Well, when I was a music student, say, 40 years ago, I got several gigs playing violin at receptions at Villa d'Este. It is a bit old, but maybe qualifies as firsthand knowledge...

Sadly I haven't stayed at them, but the location and views from Serbelloni are pretty good. We were in Bellagio in the last week of September and it was too awfully crowded, particularly in the evenings.

We did hire a boat and have lunch at Grand Hotel Tremezzo, just out on the terrace. Another spectacular location and wonderful people watching. I would certainly stay here if I could.
