Villa Cortanza Parking Lot

Has anyone had any experience with the new parking lot Villa Cortanza outside of Florence?
With only 505 spots, would it fill up quickly for the day?
THanks

Wow, I'm surprised there has been nobody who has used this. I thought everyone on here has done everything. ;)

To answer your question....

  1. Not me

  2. I doubt it. Parking lots that have more than 500+ spots are a little bigger than your average Florence parking lots.

Though I've not used it, I'm very familiar with the area. This is the easiest lot to access avoiding ZTLs.
Entry is accessible from both the north and south A1

It’s Villa Costanza.
It is easily accessible from the A1. It’s at the end of the line of the light rail trolley (line 1) that takes you to the SMN station. I’ve passed by it a few times in the last week on the A1, the electronic display on the freeway always showed available vacant spaces during weekdays. I would imagine few use it on weekends. Since I’m not scared to drive into Florence to the lots next to the city center, I don’t use it. It’s kind of far from the city center. I generally park on Piazza Beccaria, or nearby Sant’Ambrogio. I don’t know where you come from, but the parking Oltrarno at Porta Romana is walking distance from Piazza Pitti e Ponte Vecchio. If you come from the Siena direction, I’d park there.

Thanks Roberto. Yes, I realize that Villa Costanza is far from the city centre, but it looked like the easiest and simplest way to get to downtown Florence with the least amount of cost. Its only like 7 euros for the day and I couldn't find anything that came close to that.
