Villa Anitta in Santa Margherita ??

All,
My wife and I are attending a wedding in Santa Margherita in September so I am investigating hotels. Of course I consulted the RS Guide and found a number in interesting possibilities.

And then there is the Villa Anita. The first one RS suggested. It's $$$$ rate was not higher than the Hotel Laurin ($$$$ and about $500/night)
I went to their site and it looked great, so I plugged in my dates and was willing to maybe go a bit above budget. Bunt not to almost $10,000/night!!!
I cross checked with Bookings.com and similar sights to confirm the number.

Whoever did the research at RS greatly misread their readership.

Just for laughs, I will try to contact the hotel on the phone to see what I am missing

Regards,
Dennis

WOW!! It's a beautiful town. We spent some time walking around it, a couple years ago. I think I'd sleep in my car!

I can almost guarantee that those are not the actual prices.
I did get similar on their search engine, but it's a three-star hotel so there is no way on earth that it costs that much, unless you are renting out the entire hotel.

If you want to stay there, I would recommend calling them or writing a direct e-mail. Their e-mail is listed on their site.

The Belmond Splendido in Portofino does not cost that much per night.
Not does the Miramarre in SML.

Yikes! I'm seeing the same Dennis! Just for kicks I plugged a 3-night stay (Sept 3 - Sept 6) into booking.com and it came up with the price of $28,502 for a garden view jr. suite, non-refundable. It looks nice but not THAT nice. Someone in charge of published tariffs had too much wine, methinks.

For that money I suggest staying in Rapallo and renting a helicopter to take you to and from the wedding with the difference. ;) /s

I think someone slipped a digit or two in there and I'm sure you can do better if you look around.

Have a great trip,

I emailed them and will post their reply. If no email, will call
Yes, it must be an error. My guess would be a decimal point misplaced which would bring it down to the merely overpriced ($900-$1,000 a night). area.
