We are staying in the villa with Lori, whom you helped out before, but going from that Villa about 20 miles to Perugia, to Venice - hopefully car to train and then train on to Venice. Is Perugia the station you would recommend and we will have a car from the Rome airport - any suggestions on which company to use? Lee

Where is your villa exactly? 20 miles out of Perugia in which direction? How many people are traveling together? You are going to Venice for how long? One day, multiple days?
Do you still need a car after Venice? Or can you return it before visiting Venice? The best rental car company is the one that gives you the best deal at the time of your travel. Practically all major car companies are at Rome Airport. Use Kayak.com to shop around. Or if you want, you can use a consolidator like AutoEurope.com.
