Since I am going to be in Salerno (close to Vietri del Mare) in May I am considering buying some ceramics and shipping back to US. Has anyone had any experience (positive or negative) for a specific vendor or the factory re: shipping?

We have shipped back a number of items over the years and simply rely on the vendor to handle the shipping. Since this avoids the VAT, we often find the savings pays (or nearly so) for the shipping.

Let's rephrase my question. Looking for a recommendation for a name of a store that someone on the forum had a good experience with. Or buy directly from the ceramics factory in Vietri del Mare if someone has personal experience with that. I have shipped items back to the US from Italy so I know how that works.
