We have half day, on a Sunday, free on RS Southern Italy tour. Very much want to get to Monte Sant'Angelo from Vieste. Are there taxis or drivers to get me there? I can't seem to find anything in my own searches. Thanks

My Lonely Planet Puglia & Basilicata guidebook (2008, but I'm not sure it has been updated) says you can get to Monte Sant'Angelo from Vieste on SITA bus (sitabus.it) in two hours (4 euros).
EDIT: If you're like me, it's hard not having everything worked out beforehand but, if that's not possible, I feel sure the your Vieste hotel folks could help you with a driver when you get there. Four hours on the bus and very little time at your destination doesn't sound like a workable solution.

https://www.rome2rio.com shows an almost 3 hour bus ride or 1 hr cab ride.

Thanks to you both for reply. The bus problem was why I asked about taxis. I contacted the RS hotel we are staying in and they haven't replied. Thought maybe someone might have had this challeng in the past.
