If you are not weighed down by excess luggage, just take the No 5 bus from the airport to Piazzle Roma and walk over the bridge to the train station. You hotel is immediately past the train station. Said bridge is rather high, so there are a lot of small steps. I'd say it is about a 10 minute walk. The bus is about 5 euro, I think.

My recommendation is to take water taxi. They are about 100 euro but it is a fun trip across the lagoon. Since you are staying at the Boscolo Bellini it might be within your budget. We really enjoyed the trip.

If, for whatever reason, you don't want to take the bus or the water taxi, just take a regular land taxi to Pizzale Rome and hoof it from there. If you go to googlmaps.com and / or bing.com and use the map feature, you can get aerial, birds eye views, and perhaps a street level view of the area. You can just about "walk" the route before you leave home.

I agree with Gordon...if you can afford a private water taxi, it's the way to go. We stayed at a hotel in Venice with a water landing and took a private taxi to the hotel. After a full day of flying from CA to Venice (with a layover in Paris), we were exhausted (to say the least) when we landed in Venice and just wanted to get to the hotel ASAP. It would have taken so much longer if we had taken the water bus from the airport and we were concerned about having to stand on the boat if no seats were available and we were also concerned about getting our luggage on/off, etc. The water taxi was stress-free and very enjoyable. We are planning to return to Venice next year & plan to use a private water taxi again. It's definitely more money but it's worth a splurge if you can swing it. Happy travels.

8 euro vs 100 euro (they raised the bus prices). An extra 92 euro will relieve a lot of stress,
If you intend to get a vaporetto pass, you add 6 euros on to cover the one way bus, or 12 euro round trip. If you get a pass, you can take the vaporetto one stop to Ferovia and avoid humping it over the bridge.
