I went to this monument just because the view from the top was supposed to be great. Well it is, but I am not sure it is worth the cost. You can not any longer just get a ticket for the elevator, you have to buy a combination ticket which costs 15 euros. I had no interest in the additional items but still got it. Yes, the view is good but not , in my opinion, 15 euro better than the view you get for free from the level at the bottom of the elevator.

It's been awhile since Rome, but I don't remember any charge to get to the rooftop - because if there had of been I wouldn't have paid it. I do remember having a mid-morning coffee and treat and thoroughly enjoying the view.

You have to pay to go all the way to the top. but you can go pretty high and get a good view for free.

I was there today and it was 15 euro. The 2020 RS Rome book says 10 euro.

That site above is a tourism agency and not official. And likely out of date.

It says the ticket cost is 15€ + 1*. But I can’t figure out what the extra euro is for.
Edit— Found it. it is an extra charge from 15 August to 15 September..
