Viaggio nei fori night shows forums of Augustus and ceasar have you been? worth it or not?

This topic hasn't been on the forum in over a year and then other posts are many years back so I thought I would ask again - are the night shows worth it or cheesy? Should we doone (and which one) or both? Its our last night of just a few nights and the night b4 we fly out early morning the next day. I want to do a special dinner somewhere. It looks like I can book at 19:00 and it takes about 2 hours total if I do both which would put us after 9 for dinner but that seems kinda normal for Italy. I'm having some trouble with the website
http://ticket.museiincomuneroma.it/combined-fori/?lang=en just spins and spins when I select any date near or far and both that website and http://www.viaggioneifori.it/en/ flag as "non secure" maybe it becomes secure when I enter my cc info? I couldn't get that far. Also it shows time From 1 October to 31 October : 19.00 – 22.20 - do you think that means they close at 22.20 so you book the first two 2 hours before that or the last tour starts at 22.20. since the schedule won't load I can't find specifics tho there is an email address I will email. Your experience and thoughts?

I cannot answer all of your questions but I can tell you these are very well done “shows.” We did them the first year they had them and it was delightful to have something to do at night after the heat had passed (although that may not be a problem in October). I have brought these shows/tours up several times in the last few months as an answer to the “What to do?” questions that pop up every summer.

I would call them to work out your technical difficulties. I recall having a visitor in Rome when we lived there in 2016 who could not successfully make his reservations online from the US and he had to call them to work out tickets to the double-feature, I.e., both shows in one night. If you roll through the website http://www.viaggioneifori.it/en/ you will find a number at the bottom. I messed around with the site a little and had issues as well just now. So call them.

I do think the last show is at 22:20. Romans do entertainment very late at night!

I think I first read about this presentaion on one of your posts and that's why I wanted to do it. Thanks for the reply. I had trouble booking and this is how I solved it and also their response. I could not get the website ordering processor to work in Chrome. I had to use Internet Explorer. I couldn't get it to work in English (I did report it so maybe they will fix the redirects I was receiving) so I used Italian and I held my iphone up to my computer screen with Google translate photo mode on my iphone to translate the field. Success and a print at home option. Note that you get two emails in response. One with the ticket to foro di augusto and one with ticket to foro di cesare. At first I thought they were duplicate emails but the attachment on each is different.
Dear Carolyn,
the website is flagged as “non secure”, if you prefer to buy the ticket by phone, you can call our call center + 39 060608, everyday h 9-19. We have English speaking operators available.

About Caesar’s schedule: 22.20 is the last show, which means that you can buy tickets for the 22.20 show (which ends around 23.10).

Kind regards,
