Via Reggio

Hi everyone, I'm in Florence and wanting to visit Pisa, Via Reggio and San Gimagnano and need some advice. I really just want to see the beach at Via Reggio then head to San Gimagnano for the afternoon after our tower tour in Pisa at 10am. Should we take a bus from Via Reggio to San Gimagnano or is there a train. If we take the bus, does anyone know where to find the bus station in Via Reggio to go to San Gimagnano? Or is this a bad idea to do all 3. I don't have much to see in Via Reggio other than the beach! We'll go back to Florence after San Gimagnano. Thanks for your help!

First things first :)
Viareggio is not two words. Here is a timetable for the train - it looks as though it takes about 1 hour 40 minutes and you will have to change in Empoli or Pisa. Good luck!

When will you be there? Viareggio is a resort town and, as such, in the off-season doesn't have as much to offer as other places, IMHO.
