I am in Vernazza now and yes, part of the trail is open, however it is a very, very short part on the Manorola side. The bar/restaurant that was on top is now deserted. Only a few lone chairs and the building remain. I was so looking forward to a refreshment with a view. Sad, bittersweet moment. CT is still beautiful, though!

Thanks for the update. It's too bad that the bar/restaurant is no longer open.
According to the article I read a few months ago, the stretch that is open only extends 300 meters.

Thanks for the update. It's not surprising that the bar is now closed and abandoned, as the trail has been closed since about September 2012 when the rock slide occurred. Hard to make a living without a steady stream of customers walking past. Hopefully it will be resurrected when the Via dell' Amore opens fully next year.

Still many hikers but they are hiking in land, the towns are beautiful and busy, different but still great, we are leaving today!
