vespa tour recommendation

this isn't exactly a question, but I was on this forum a few weeks ago asking about vespa tours in Rome. Well, today we did our vespa tour with Nerone tours and it was AMAZING! definetly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome! I was a great way to see Rome since we are only here for a couple days and riding on the vespa around the streets of Rome is an experience in itself! It was safe (you don't drive it, you're a passenger), the guides were knowlegeable and there was plenty of stops for photos and a coffee
Definetly recommed it!

I remember you asking about these a couple of weeks ago. How was the wind chill while you were riding?

they are called Nerone. There are also a number of other companies which run them in various cities throughout Italy. I liked these guys because there was also a story written about them in the NY Times (link is on their website). They seem to accomodate as many people as you like, we had my boyfriend and I so we had 2 Vespas with 2 people guiding us around. It's not a cheap activity, but was definetly worth it to us

I thought it would be windy and cold so was well prepared with light thermals, polotec jumper, gloves, scarf and beanie. At the start of the tour I was wearing all of the above but I soon swapped to a lighter jacket and removed gloves and beanie. They can only go a max of 30km/h so even though it was a chilly day in Rome we didn't really feel it at all. Was a lot of fun!

I don't think you can go fast enough in Rome on a Vespa for wind chill to be a problem.

This sounds like a fun new twist on sightseeing in Rome. A couple of questions: What is the contact info for the tour company/guide? How many people do they accommodate at a time on the tour?
Thanks
