If you are planning to visit Ravello in the next couple of days, be sure to arrive before 10;45 am
and check the bus schedule. On October 23 there was very limited bus service to/from Amalfi. We had no option other than paying 20 € per person one way for a taxi. Otherwise we wouldn't have had enough time to catch our ferry back to Sorrento. We did attempt to negotiate with the taxi driver but the best we could do was share the ride with another couple (who were Italian...so at least we found solace knowing that even Italians were being charged the same exorbitant price).
Otherwise we would have paid 40 € pp one way.
Hopefully for future tourists, the bus will soon run more frequently.

40-50 euros is the usual taxi fare from Ravello to Amalfi.

Perhaps service has been cut back because it's getting later in the season? I took the bus from Amalfi to
Ravello and back on October 14th, and they were running additional smaller busses, even in one instance
a school bus, to accommodate the number of people. And every bus was full.
I also agree that the 20 Euro charge per person was not unreasonable, given the current rates.
