I just discovered a feature on google maps I've not noticed before. I entered directions from Sorrento to Positano to Paestum to see how far and how windy the road looked (thinking about a private car from Paestum to Sorrento along the coast) Underneith the box that shows time/miles, there's a little 3D box. It takes you on a 3D view on the route. After "traveling" the entire road from Sorrento to Salerno, it almost made me car sick. Just though I'd share this feature with the group.

Karen, I tried searching the route from Sorrento to Positano, but can't seem to find the 3D box. It does show Google Street View, but that takes awhile to "travel" the entire route.

Go to google maps with google chrome. Looks like Windows explorer doesn't show the 3D feature. I entered the destinations Sorrento, Positano, Salerno. See if it works with google chrome.

We used Mr Monetti to pick us up in Sorrento and take us to Paestum for a 10 hour day. He was wonderful!! He's the one Rick suggests in his book.
