Looking for a day ferry from Naples to Palermo for late October. When I do a web search night ferries come up. Does anyone know if there is a day ferry and if so, which company?
What day of the week are you looking at? Where are you searching? I saw Naples to Palermo leaving at 9:00AM, but I just picked a dummy date of Oct 31. Ferries may run daytime only on certain days, but there are several ferry companies on that route so check with all of them. https://www.directferries.com/naples_palermo_ferry.htm
Thank you very much. Have you taken the ferry? If so, did you have a cabin at night!
We took the overnight ferry in the other direction - from Palermo to Naples. It was a fine experience. The cabin we shared (2 women) had bunk style beds, narrow but comfortable. I slept most of the way. Luckily we had calm seas so not much rocking. Not as glamorous as a cruise ship but serviceable. We arrived in Naples ready to go. I'd do it again without hesitation.
We took the overnight ferry from Naples to Palermo and booked a cabin. The accommodations were sparse but comfortable and we slept well. Saw a beautiful sunrise just before arriving at Palermo.
Here's a link to a picture of the cabin...
mont3589 What ferry line did you use? Your photo is beautiful.
We were on the Raffaele Rubattino, don't remember the ferry line name, but from my pictures I believe it was Tirrenia.

I also have taken the overnight from Naples to Palermo twice. In high season, it is a lot of fun as there is entertainment in the lounge. The food was amazingly good, too. Late October likely gets you out of high season, so no entertainment.
I did a quick search on a Wed and Saturday in October and found only overnight ferries. Maybe daytime is a summer thing?
We took a "deluxe" stateroom - quite basic but fine for one night. Bunk beds. Over all, I quite recommend the ferry.
