Verona to Paris

We want to fly from Verona to Paris. The direct flight from Verona to Paris is super expensive as of right now. Would you suggest taking the train to Venice and flying from there or taking the train to Milan and flying out of Milan? Has anyone done this? Thanks

I see a very high price VRN to CDG in May, but in mid July it shows Air France $82 on Kayak. It will be helpful to others to know when you are flying?

Ptocruz,

In the same situation, I'd probably use this method.....

  • Train from Verona to Milano Centrale (~1H:30M, no changes).
  • Travel by Coach or Taxi to Linate. I haven't checked the Taxi fare lately, but have seen comments that the cost is about €20 (Linate is not far from the city). Regular Bus service is also offered but that's not something I'd want to do while hauling luggage.
  • Take an EasyJet flight from LIN to ORY (D. 13:00, A. 14:20). They currently have fares listed at €45.49 PP (you'll also have to allow for a few fees of course, especially if you're checking luggage or if you want designated seating or speedy boarding).

They also have flights from MXP to CDG, but I suggested ORY as it's a bit easier to navigate. If you decide to use MXP, you'll need to take the Malpensa Shuttle (Coach) rather than the train from Milano Centrale, as EasyJet flights depart from MXP Terminal 2. Fare is currently €10 PP. If you decide to use the MXP option, I can provide information on where to find the Shuttles.

Happy travels!

If a one-way airplane ticket is too expensive, you can buy a round-trip and just use the first part. But make sure that's how you do it; if you don't use the first part, the airline will cancel the remaining segments. So, make sure the first segment is Verona to Paris, not the other way around.

Ken gave you the ways to get from Verona to Linate and Malpensa. If you find a good fare from Venice airport (VCE), you can take a train from Verona to Venezia Mestre station, then a bus from there to Venice airport. Getting to Treviso airport (used by some budget airlines for Venice) would be more complicated.
