Verona or Parma

Working on an Itinerary...........

If you had to choose between Verona and Parma, which would you go to and why?

Been to both, loved both but enjoyed Verona more. It is such a pretty city. Shakespeare didn't choose it for his plays for nothing. Parma was lovely too but you can do it in a day. Verona has more layers and history. But if you asked to choose between Bologna and Verona, hhhmmmmm . . .

Verona is the only place I've seen a raccoon being walked on a leash, so I live in hope of a repeat sighting. Rick's reasons for recommending Verona have more to do with it's wealth of Roman ruins.

Verona. More to see. Try and stay on the Piazza Erbe or Bra for the best experience. Parma can be done in one day. I have hotel and restaurant recommendations, if you need them, just pm me.

Been to both and liked them both, but I give the nod to Verona. Lots to do, very pretty and it had a lively and fun feel.

Been to both, liked them both. While Parma remained an old town feel, it is smaller, but quaint.
Verona has a tourist section, shopping with high end shops right in the middle of the town, very crowded. Takes away from the appeal, IMO.
