Hello all,
I wanted to know your suggestions for hotels in town? I have been seeing these hotels come up alot but they seem kinda dark and dated. What do you think?
Accademia, hotel victoria, hotel milano and gabbio d'oro. Do you like any of these or someplace else?
Thanks!
I am staying at Accademia in 3 weeks. When are you going? I can give you an updated review after 5/26. I too am hopeful that this hotel is okay. I wanted something fairly reasonable but yet clean and not too boring. We will see.
We are going the end of June. Dates not set yet. Accademia is rated #1 hotel on Trip Advisor so thats great news :) Are you doing any wine tours? I have to research this too. I feel I am on the internet for 2 hrs a day! Good Luck!

stephanie,
You might have a look at www.veronahoteleuropa.com/eng/index.htm as it's in a great "in town" location. It's just a short walk from Piazza Bra and the Amphitheatre and there are some great restaurants and coffee bars in that area.
Happy travels!
We stayed here in 2006 and loved it. It is off the main street facing the Forum. It was 85 euros for a room with a private bath. It is walkable from the train station.
I stayed at Hotel Torcolo in Verona last year. It was a great location and the two ladies who worked at the front desk could not have been more helpful.
Two years ago we stayed at the Hotel Aurora, which is just off Piazza Erbe. It was sparkling clean, nicely furnished, and had a wonderfully helpful staff. I highly recommend it. What you need to realize is that you are going to be in Verona during opera season, when it's very crowded, and good accommodations are at a premium. Also, prices are up accordingly. Don't delay getting reservations!
We also enjoyed our stay at Hotel Torcolo!
