Staying 3 nights in Verona in June. Suggestions for nice hotels within easy walking distance of train station?

Jaturvey - Hotel Firenze and Hotel Scalzi in Verona are in close proximity to major sights and public transportation.

I don't remember any hotels in the vicinity of Verona Porta Nuova, but Google Maps shows a few. Is there a reason you'd prefer to stay close to the station rather than right in the city? Staying close to the main part will allow easy walking to the sights. Walking from Porta Nuova to Piazza Bra is possible although it's a bit of a longer walk. Taxi or Bus would be an easier method.
