If possible, I'd like something in the 50 to 80 Euro range for a single room in mid-October (preferably closer to 50). Any thoughts about places you've stayed? Central location is important. Thanks.

Sherry, I stayed at Hotel Europa on my last trip to Verona, and found it very comfortable. It's in a fantastic location, only a short distance from Piazza Bra and the Amphitheatre. Hotel Torcolo is VERY popular with many here, but I'm not sure where it's located. Happy travels!

I always stay at Hotel Aurora on Piazza Erbe when in Verona. It is right on the piazza and very centrally located to everything! It is higher than your price range but you might check....since you are going off season.....and see if they have reduced rates for off peak. They have a wonderful breakfast which is included in their price.
