Has anyone purchased the Verona card and is it worth it?
We bought a one day card and made good use of it. It's definitely worth buying if you're doing the sites there. Great little town - we loved it and wished we had more than an afternoon there.
Yes, ditto to what Valerie said. I found Verona to be the best blend of an ancient city and a modern lifestyle in all of Italy. It is also a good base for day trips to Lago di Garda, Padova, Vicenza, and, if you time it right, Bologna and even Ravenna.
PS: But, please recognize that Juliet is a fictional character, and did not really live in Juliet's house in Verona, or wile away her time on Juliet's balcony, as popular as that site may be.
I've gotten the Verona card on each of my two stays there. You can get a 24 hour card or a 48 hour card. It's good at many local attractions and includes using the bus. I felt the card was well worth it.
