Does the Verona train station have a luggage check or is there another place to keep your pages if you just want to spend a few hours there on my way to Milan?

All train stations have a bag check. Some are lockers and some are rooms with shelves where they tag the bag and give you a claim number like they would in a museum. I have checked my backpack at many stations and there has never been a problem.
I have not checked a bag for more than a few hours.
