Enroute to a Dolomites, our family (6 adults) is gathering in Verona for a three night stay in mid-July. Does anyone have a VRBO or Airbnb or hotel accommodation they could recommend. Thank you~
I've rented an apartment there in July - but I'm a solo traveler. What I do suggest is get on it as soon as you can - the opera season will be in full swing and places fill up months in advance. I've used vrbo before in Verona and have been pleased. You want to stay in the medieval city area (Piazza Bra is a good landmark). Just about everything you would want to see/do is going to be there, I suspect.
Hotel Torcolo is about as central a location as one could want as it is very close to Piazza Bra and the coliseum. Verona is small enough that you can walk everywhere.
We really enjoyed the Hotel Giulietta y Romeo in 2015. It is an easy walk from the train station and very close to the Arena. The front desk staff was very helpful - with restaurant suggestions, and with tips on how to get to Lake Garda by train.

Have a great trip.
