We will be in this area the second week of June 2015. Looking for suggestions on where to stay and what you would recommend about this area.

In Verona, Hotel Torcolo is about as central a location as one could want. Google them to get the email address and contact them directly. Verona is small enough that you can walk everywhere. The old Roman Theater is really neat as is people watching at Piazza Erbe. Hope this helps. TC

Verona's riverfront and bridges, ancient churches and Castelvecchio museum are all great in addition to sights previously mentioned.
