Any recommendations for a double room in Vernazza reasonable price in May?

I recommend Memo Rooms. They are along the main street, very nice and have fewer stairs to climb than many. Price last September was 65 euro. Rick's guidebook would have 2008 price and contact details.

we enjoyed maria capellini rooms last month while staying in vernazza. it was 80 euros/per night/dbl.

I stayed at Gianni Franzi (www.giannifranzi.it/) on the main square in Vernazza and was really pleased with my stay. There were a LOT of steps to climb (I can't stress that enough) - but in my opinion it was totally worth it for the stunning view that accompanied my room. Price of a double on the website is listed at anywhere from 65-100 euro; pending upon if you request a private bath, shared bath, balcony, etc. Good luck and enjoy the Cinque Terre!
