Hello. I am in the process of researching places to stay in Vernazza in early July. I have heard back from La Marina rooms, but the room does not have a fan. I assume it will be very hot in July. Is a room with air conditioning, or at least a fan a necessity--especially if the room is not facing the sea? I am e-mailing other owners about their rooms and determine if fan/air conditioning is a "must have." THANKS!
Lisa - you'll be on the sea! Below a mountain range. It's likely to be breezy and cool in the evening.
I hope it's not necessary- I found that it's already too late to be picky about Vernazza rooms in early July. I have a backyward-facing room from Eva's Rooms, no A/C. I emailed about 10 places, and only one other place got back to me, but they were too late!
Thanks. As it turns out, I can't be picky. I have heard back from nine places--all of them full, with no rooms available. Any suggestions of places that might have availability?
Lisa: Here's links to 70+ posts here in the last year that contained the words Vernazza and either hotel, accommodation or room. click hereIt will take you a little while to browse them but it sounded like an emergency so I thought this might help you.
Usually a fan is necessary. perhaps you could buy a small cheap one at grocery store. It would be well worth it for a good nights sleep. I have been in CT in Aug. w/o a/c it was sweltering.
